Zelle® Mobile Two-Way SMS Re-Opt In Option

On June 25, 2023, a new Zelle® mobile two-way SMS “re-opt in” option will be available within the mobile app.

Zelle® users who had previously blocked their mobile number by responding “STOP” to a Zelle® text notification will be able to unblock their mobile number and opt back in to receiving essential SMS notifications, eliminating the need for users to contact their bank to re-opt in.

The option, called “Receive text messages,” will be added to the Zelle® mobile app in the Payment Profile Details screen. To opt-in for receiving text messages again, click the “Receive text messages” link and the confirmation message that will follow.

Zelle® mobile two-way SMS allows users the ability to manage their contact preferences, allow seamless receipt of verification messages, and facilitate smoother and safer transactions.
