B-Smart Cohort 10 Pitch and Present

ESSA is honored to support local entrepreneurs! Supported by the West Philadelphia Collaborative Coalition and VestedIn Philadelphia, the 10-week workshop in November featured 10 talented and aspiring entrepreneurs at the “B-Smart Cohort 10 Pitch and Present,” where they pitched their business ideas to community leaders as well as the general audience.

ESSA’s sponsorship supported Djuan D. Short, owner of Dahlia Rose Wellness Center. Djuan is a licensed clinical social worker. Her center provides wellness care, primarily to women of color, who are fellow business owners in West Philadelphia. Djuan also received a $25,000 loan from VestedIn to continue to grow her business. Congratulations, Djuan!
